Kiplinger ranked Boulder No. 4 as the best cities for the next decade, stating that, “Boulder is a wealthy, intellectual hot spot where environmental and scientific ideas blossom into businesses.”

Market Watch named Denver the nation’s 6th best city for business. “Denver continues to attract businesses of all types looking for quality of life,” the business-news-and-information website says.”

According to Portfolio.com, Boulder was named in the top cities for quality of life, earning high scores across the board, and placing it among the 10 best markets in 13 of the 20 categories.

In December of 2010, Denver was ranked in the Top 10 on the list of best cities for finding a new job, according to The CareerCast.com Job Serf Employment Index. Coming in at number 9 this month, Denver has made the list 10 of the last 12 months.

According to a report by Manufacturers’ News Inc., Denver is Ranked 29 on a list of the top cities in the country for industrial jobs.

Denver is No. 33 out of 157 cities in a new ranking of the most popular places to retire — but it is No. 7 among cities on the list with cold winter climates, according to the Denver Business Journal.
